have you guys ever experienced the language barrier in communication? especially when you speak in your second or third language. This barrier is a real pain in the ass.

language is an essential tool to communicate with others. With language, we can express our thoughts and get information from others. 

Communicating with foreigners sometimes is challenging because of the different languages. to communicate, one needs to learn a language that can be understood by others. In this case, we have an international language, English. 

however, is it enough to understand and be able to speak in that language? Of course not! 

the other things that come with language is the culture. Language and culture have a relation: they can affect each other, they can affect how people think, and both work to shape the identity of a region or even a nation.

thus, what is the relation of this barrier to having a relationship?

There is a correlation. we all know the important thing and key within a relationship is communication. Being clear with what's on your thought and conveying it clearly and nicely can keep your relationship smooth. And because you have different cultures, it is important to be tolerant of each other.

Here are dos and don'ts when communicating in LDR with a foreign partner:

- as much as possible give your partner a message. simple message is enough to keep in touch😉don't let them miss your current info

-be clear at texting, never make an ambiguous sentence😬 always ask your partner if their sentence confused you.

- always having a call even for a few minutes is enough if you both are busy 

- A video call will help a lot!!!

-discuss some topics in your free time. It is a chance for you and your partner to know each other more

-add some spices within texting. A joke --even a dirty joke-- is worth trying. 

-be tolerant of each other. Never force your partner to do something if they don't want. and also give them space and time for them to enjoy their time😃
